Abstract

An easy access to enantiopure isochromans through cross alkyne trimerization of a glucose derived dialkyne was developed. One of the synthesized isochromans was converted into a novel tricyclic nucleoside by simple transformations. (C) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
